Is hypnotherapy for me?

Yes! Hypnotherapy is a great solution for millions of people. The only known contraindication for hypnotherapy is for people with severe psychotic delusions and hallucinations. If you’d like to get a written referral from your doctor to try hypnotherapy, I am happy to provide a form for them to fill out.

Is hypnosis mind control?

No, I cannot make you do anything you do not want to do during our session. If you do not agree with a suggestion, you will simply reject it. You are in total control during your session and will only share what you are comfortable sharing.

How effective is hypnotherapy?

Does it really work over a video call?

Yes, absolutely! You have control over where you have the session on your end. Most people choose to be at home or in a place where they have privacy and feel comfortable. This can often lead to an even deeper state of relaxation than if they had to travel out of the home for the session.

What can I expect during our first session?

During our first session we will first go over your goals that you want to achieve with hypnotherapy. Then I will teach you how to do self-hypnosis to utilize between our sessions. This will help you get the most out of our time together and give you a super effective tool you can use for the rest of your life. Afterwards I will conduct a full session with you.

What does hypnosis feel like?

It feels different for everyone but most people feel deeply relaxed and calm. Some people feel tingly, some people feel lighter or some people feel heavier. Most people remember everything that was said during the session. However deep you go will be completely up to you and there is no wrong way to do it! Believe it or not, hypnosis is a natural state of mind that you pass through multiple times a day. If you’ve ever been lost in a good book or movie, that is a form of hypnosis that you are very familiar with!

Why do you recommend packages?

Packages are recommended because hypnotherapy is a conditioning process of the subconscious mind. Even though it is an extremely rapid therapy compared to traditional therapy, it still takes time. I find with my clients that it is most beneficial and effective to approach an issue from different angles. In order to have the time to do this, we need more than one session. Also, some issues require more sessions than others. Research shows an average of 6 sessions brought a 93% recovery with hypnotherapy (American Health Magazine).

Why one-on-one hypnotherapy? Why can’t I just listen to an app?

While an app is still absolutely transformative, a one-on-one session is completely customized in the moment exactly for you. I work with you and use what you are seeing and feeling to make powerful and lasting changes in your life. This personalized customization helps you transform faster than an app recording would.
